RealPage, a technlogy company focused on solutions for the real estate industry, has appointed Dirk Wakeham as its new President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The appointment marks a new chapter for the company as it continues to expand its technology and AI-driven solutions for the real estate sector. 

Wakeham took on the tole immediately and also joined RealPage's Board of Directors. He brigns decades of experience in software, SaaS, PropTech, and Fintech, making his background cosely aligned with company's focus on technology and real estate. 

A Familiar Return to RealPage

This is not Wakeham's firts time at RealPage. He previously served as President of the company after RealPage acquired LeasingDesk, a company he founded. 

Throughout his career, Wakeham has served as CEO and President of several software and technology companies, incluiding Zego, Kibo, Lanyon, storEDGE, LeasingDesk and RealPage. His experience includes helping technology companies grow and navigate periods of signifant transformation. 

Technology and AI at the Center

Wakeham returns to RealPage at a time when technology is playing an increasingly important role in the real estate industry. 

RealPage provides software and AI-powered solutions designed to help property owners and operator manage areas such as marketing, leasign, property operations, financial management, and resident experiences. The company says its platform supports more than 24 million rental units worldwide.

With artificial intelligence becoming a major part of the industry, RealPage is also expanding its use of AI to automate tasks, analyze data, and help property teams make faster and more informed decisions. 

What's Next for RealPage?

Wakeham succeeds Dana Jones, who led the company as President and CEO since 2021. During her ternure, RealPage focused on strenghtening its operations and financial foundation while accelerating innovation in areas such as AI and resident experience. 

With Wakeham back at the helm, RealPage will look to build on that momentum while continuing to develop technology for an industry that is becoming increasingly digital.
